Can't Get Enough
I’ve been learning and writing about dating for approximately 2 months now. While I find the data interesting, there is something to be said about personal stories. They leave more of an impression. If you’re like me and you crave those stories, have no fear! I wanted to share a few of my favorite links to dating content.
Forty Days of Dating: this one was revolutionary for me. I read the web version at the start of the pandemic and couldn’t stop reading. In this experiment, in which 2 friends agree to date to face their issues in relationships, there was something terrifying about realizing that all dating comes down to is a bunch of vulnerability. I can’t recommend this read enough (& even better, it comes in book form!)
Monica & Jess Love Boys: I am a massive fan of Armchair Expert, the podcast created by Dax Shepherd & Mondica Padman. So while I’m a little late to Moncia & Jess Love Boys, I have to say I couldn’t stop listening! They dive into the differences between gay and straight dating cultures, sexuality, dating apps, vulnerability & more. This series has taught me a lot about perspectives I don’t personally experience.
Amy Webb-How I Hacked Online Dating: I really enjoyed this TED talk. Amy provides an interesting experience with online dating & makes a great case for picking out the traits that are important to you. I love how her system for hacking online dating played out.
